We are a diversified family farm that has had our roots in Northeast Iowa/ Southeast Minnesota since the 1850s. Through the generations our family has grown just about everything but back in March 2020 decided to experiment with vertical growing and the fungi kingdom.

Today we are growing between 300 and 400 pounds of fresh specialty mushrooms in a 8×40 repurposed Semi reefer every single week. That’s around 18,200 pounds of nutritious food each year that we are able to produce for our local community. Our family also grows organic crops on top of the mushrooms and raise pasture raised poultry in a rotationally grazed regenerative manner!

Our farm believes in building strong local connections with our customers and building a strong local ag system. We are lucky to live in one of the most fertile places on the planet and our goal is to keep it that way by taking great care of the land and soil. We also hope to be just one of the many great producers in our area that can meet our local communities demands and build a strong, resilient, and ethical local food system.
