About Mycologists at IU

Our goal is to further the understanding and appreciation of fungi through learning and observation. We will be making excursions to nearby parks to search for, forage, and observe mushrooms in the wild, and we will also have discussions about the characteristics of the specimens we find as well as mushroom identification in general. This club is open to anyone who has an interest in the nature and learning more about the wonderful world of fungi, no experience required! Expect activities such as taking spore prints, going on mushroom hunts, mushroom identification, and general chats, as well as other fun activities. This club is NOT about psychedelics- fungi offer much more to be appreciated.
