About the Mycological Society of San Francisco

The Mycological society of San Francisco’s (MSSF) mission is to promote the understanding and enjoyment of mushrooms.  Also, the MSSF strives to help preserve mycological habitats and maintain the right of the general public to collect mushrooms for study and recreational purposes.  The MSSF hosts many events throughout the year.  Some of their most anticipated are the forays for the collection and identification of mushrooms.
