About Grandview Mushroom Farm

Charles and Shiyrah of Grandview mushroom farm have been cultivating Shiitake mushrooms for over 19 years on their 14 acre farm in Montevallo Alabama.  What started off as a hobby quickly turned into a small business.  They cultivate many different types of mushrooms with an emphasis on log grown shiitake.  The shiitake are grown in oak and sweet gum logs outside under a canopy of trees.  No chemicals or pesticides are used on any of their products.  Their products can be found at local farmers markets from April to late October.

Charles and Shiyrah have been in the mushroom business for a long time and are passionate about what they do.  If you are interested in learning about their farm, you can contact them for a farm tour.  They will tell you all about how shiitake are cultivated and show their log yard which consists of over 5,000 logs!
