FreshCap is a Canadian based mushroom wellness company.   Their products are made with 100% mushroom fruiting bodies and are all certified organic.  They use a single hot water extraction process for their Turkey Tail and Maitake products.  Their Reishi, Chaga and Lion’s mane products are all dual extracted via hot water and alcohol.  

The concentration ratios of their powders and capsules are as follows:

• Lion’s Mane 4:1
• Chaga 35:1
• Reishi 9:1
• Cordyceps 6:1
• Turkey Tail 5:1

This means to get 1 gram of Lion’s mane mushroom powder, it requires 4 grams of mushroom fruiting bodies.  Their powder products and capsules are the exact same product, just different ways to ingest it.

Yes, FreshCap is not a United States based company. However, they offer a very high quality product and are an active advocate for mushrooms, so we had to put them in the directory.  (All orders are actually shipped  from their Salt Lake City Utah warehouse.)

It’s clear they are very passionate about bringing mushrooms to people’s lives so they can see the benefits that functional mushrooms have to offer.  They use only whole mushroom fruiting bodies and go through the correct extraction process for each type of mushroom to get out the parts qualities of each mushroom.  If you are interested in learning more about functional mushrooms or want to give them a try, Fresh Cap is a great place to start.
