About Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association
The Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association or, COMA, is a mycological society for amateurs and professionals. It was founded in 1975 and it is their mission to stimulate interest and study everything about fungi.
Becoming a member
$25 gets either an individual or a family a full year membership to this society. Membership comes with these benefits:
- Exclusive invitation the spring morel walks
- Eligibility to register for Mushroom University when offered
- Eligibility to apply for Scholarships

Staying up to date
The Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association has a very active Facebook group and they have a newsletter called “Spores Illustrated”. At 25+ pages, this newsletter is PACKED with information. In it you’ll find information about the forays, pictures, recipes, and articles from other publications.
